About Us

We have made the very difficult decision to cancel all live fundraising events. This includes The Four-Legged Frolic and The Annual Dog Walk; combined they represent a substantial portion of our income. Now, more than ever, we need your support. Help Us Help Them will ensure that our 44-year mission will not only continue, but even thrive. Together, we will get through this year even stronger and better, and continue to help the dogs and cats of the Lowcountry.

During this challenging time with Coronavirus, all ADOPTIONS will be by appointment. Call HHI Campus at 843-681-8686 or Okatie Campus at 843-645-8400. Our Litter Box Thrift Store is currently open with normal store hours; curbside thrift store donation drop-offs can only be done via appointment by calling 843-842-6369. Thank you.

Over the past year, 3,000 abandoned, injured, abused animals and feral cats have been cared for by the Hilton Head Humane Association. We spay/neuter and release feral cats and provide food, shelter, medical, and loving care for the domesticated cats and dogs until adoptive homes are found.

Our organization, dedicated to providing a safe haven for the abandoned cats and dogs of the Low Country, is funded entirely by membership dues, private donations, and generous bequests.

Enrich your life with a beautiful and healthy new family member. They are waiting for you.

Our Mission Statement:
To improve the lives of homeless dogs and cats while also working to substantially lower the numbers of animals reproduced or relinquished.
